More About the Speakers

Charlene Low

Charlene has been exposed to Chinese tea from a very young age. Her father, Vincent, started Yixing Xuan Teahouse in 1989. Upon graduation, she worked in the banking industry for 9 years before deciding that banking wasn’t her cup of tea.

She joined her father in the business 8 years ago and as she visited tea plantations and pottery makers, she discovered that there was so much more to tea than a teabag. It consisted of not just a rich culture and history, but also of plentiful travels and friendships. These days, father and daughter take turns conducting the Tea Appreciation Workshops to schools, corporates and visitors from all over the world. Charlene will show you the joy and beauty of enjoying and brewing an exquisite pot of Chinese tea, as well as sharing the plethora of benefits that come with it.
